Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Complete trek permits and documentation. Explore Thamel’s vibrant streets, gear up with any last minute supplies, and enjoy a welcome dinner featuring traditional Nepali dal bhat. Rest well as your Himalayan adventure officially begins tomorrow.

Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus (approximately 7 hours) or a scenic 25 minute flight. Upon arrival, stroll along the serene Phewa Lake shoreline, visit the World Peace Pagoda, and prepare your trekking gear. Attend a final briefing, confirm your TIMS card and Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP).

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1.5 hours), where your trek officially begins. Walk through charming villages and terraced farmland alongside the Bhurungdi Khola river. Ascend gradually to Tikhedhunga, passing suspension bridges and local tea houses. Trek duration approximately 4 to 5 hours. Overnight at a cozy teahouse.

Today’s most rewarding and challenging climb begins with steep stone steps ascending to Ulleri village. The trail then winds through magnificent rhododendron and oak forests. Arrive at Ghorepani, a bustling teahouse village with stunning Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain views. Trek duration approximately 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at Ghorepani.

Wake at 4:30am for the iconic pre sunrise hike to Poon Hill viewpoint. Witness a breathtaking golden panorama of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. Descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast, then trek onward through dense rhododendron forests to Tadapani. Trek duration approximately 5 to 6 hours.

Descend through lush forests and terraced fields toward the picturesque Gurung village of Chhomrong, the gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary. A relatively shorter, relaxed day descending from Chhomrong toward the hidden gem of Jhinu Danda. The highlight here is the famous natural hot springs beside the Modi Khola river, offering well deserved relief for tired trekking muscles. Soak in the soothing thermal waters surrounded by jungle and mountain scenery. Trek duration approximately 3 to 4 hours.

Trek down to Siwai and continue to Nayapul where your trail concludes. Board a vehicle back to Pokhara (approximately 1.5 hours). Celebrate your accomplishment with a lakeside dinner at Phewa Lake, reflecting on the incredible landscapes, warm teahouse hosts, and unforgettable Himalayan memories you have gathered over the past week.

Transfer back to Kathmandu by flight or tourist bus. Spend remaining hours exploring Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, or browsing handicraft souvenirs in Thamel.
